These are the most exciting new UK hotel openings for 2024.

From the first Soho House in the North to a treehouse hotel in Manchester, a new GuestHouse hotel on the Brighton seafront and the newest boutique hotels popping up in London, here’s where we will be checking in.

This list will be constantly added to throughout the year and there is something for all budgets, so keep checking back for our latest recommendations.

New UK Hotel Openings for 2024

At Sloane, Chelsea, West London

West London’s newest boutique hotel is a break-the-bank kind of stay, but if you have the budget prepare to be wowed. At Sloane is an exclusive townhouse just off Sloane Square with 30 bedrooms and suites, where pet pooches are welcome. Interiors are Parisian and art-inspired, but playful. Guests can grab a cocktail in the impressive lobby, before having dinner on the sixth-floor light-filled restaurant with panoramic views across the London skyline.

This luxury boutique hotel in the heart of London’s Soho has finally opened its doors and there is much to like, whether you are staying over or just popping in for a drink. Broadwick Soho has 57 bedrooms, including nine suites and a penthouse, and is home to all-day bar and terrace Bar Jackie, maximalist night time Italian restaurant Dear Jackie and rooftop bar, Flute. Hotel guests have exclusive access to downstairs cocktail lounge, The Nook.

House of Gods, Glasgow

We’re already fans of the House of Gods in Edinburgh and now the group has opened a second hotel in Glasgow. With 31 bedrooms inspired by the Orient Express, expect decadent interiors with a rock star edge, plus a glamorous cocktail bar and Sacred Garden Rooftop also open to non-guests. Be sure to book their ‘Treat Me Like I’m Famous’ package if you’re staying over.

Stanwell House, Lymington, New Forest

Stanwell House is now one of the most boutique hotels in the New Forest following an extensive refurbishment. Rooms come with tasteful colour pops, feature headboards, and some have freestanding baths. Choose from Loft, Terrace and Garden, House or Luxury Rooms and Suites. Dine at Samphire, their bistro restaurant, have cocktails in Salt Bar or take afternoon tea in The Orangery. The beauty of the New Forest is right on your doorstep for walks and wild pony spotting.

The Beacon, Kent

Tucked away down the adorably named Tea Garden Lane, with views across Kent’s Happy Valley, you’ll find boutique hotel, The Beacon. This recently refurbished country house has immaculate gardens, an elegant restaurant and garden bar and six brand new bedrooms in the main house. All are different in style with colourful palettes, vintage influences and freestanding baths. Our favourite is the round red bath in the window of Yarrow room. Another new addition is the Summerhouse (pictured). Full of rustic charm, expect cosy furnishings, your own private decking and a bath tub you won’t want to get out of.

Hotel Indigo Coventry

Hotel Indigo has opened a new establishment in Coventry, the second four-star hotel in the city after the Telegraph hotel opened in 2021. Set in Coventry’s Friargate, within walking distance from the train station, Hotel Indigo Coventry has 101 rooms with Hypnos beds and spa-inspired bathrooms, a Fitness Suite and Cogs Restaurant & Bar, featuring its own Wine Wall.

The Village at Beaverbrook Hotel, Surrey

There is already the Beaverbrook Town House in the heart of London’s Chelsea, but at their flagship five-star beaverbrook Hotel in Surrey, they have just opened a new area called The Village. Created by interior designer Nicola Harding, this collection of 21 guest rooms spans across 10 cottages and is inspired by literary greats J.M Barrie, Oscar Wilde and The Brontë Sisters (room pictured). There will also be a restaurant serving classic British food, events space and The Dower House, within a walled 55-acre oasis with its own private swimming pool, studio and spa treatment room.

Mollie’s and Soho House Manchester – opening spring 2024

Soho House is coming to Manchester. The first Soho House in the North will open in the former Granada TV studios building later this year and is set to have a rooftop pool, two bars, an Italian restaurant, deli and events and wellness spaces. Attached, but next door, will be the Soho-House owned Mollie’s Motel and Diner so guests can stay over. You don’t need a membership to book a room at Mollie’s, but guests won’t be able to access the top three floors of the members’ club without one.

The Store, Oxford – just opened

Billed as the first modern luxury hotel in Oxford, The Store has now opened on the site of Boswells, the city’s answer to Selfridges and one of the world’s oldest department stores. Reimagined as a 101-room hotel, expect boutique rooms with views of the ‘dreaming spires’, a restaurant, co-working space, rooftop bar and a subterranean spa with state-of-the-art facilities and treatments from award-winning British brand Oskia.

Avington Lakes, Hampshire – opening spring 2024

Nestled within 150 acres of sprawling Hampshire countryside, just 90 minutes from London, is the latest offering from the team behind The Nici luxury hotel in Bournemouth. A collection of unique properties on a private family-run estate, guests can stay in a lake house that sleeps 14 with its own heated swimming pool and hot tub. Other accommodation includes pub bedrooms, cottages and waterside shepherd’s huts that will launch by spring 2024. The estate has its own pub and ‘wild spa’ and guests can enjoy experiences like wellness classes, paddle boarding, wild swimming, fishing, archery, floristry, cocktail making and foraging.

100 Princes Street, Edinburgh – just opened

100 Princes Street is part of the family-run Red Carnation Hotel Collection and a sister property to London’s Hotel 41. Inspired by late fashion designer Alexander McQueen, this fancy new establishment aims to offer a truly Scottish experience for guests. Operating an ‘anything, anytime’ service, standout features include a wine wall with over 200 fine wines and a wide collection of Scottish whiskies. Most of the 30 bedrooms also overlook Edinburgh Castle.

Native King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s, Central London– opening May 2024

The newest offering from boutique ApartHotel chain Native Places has opened its fourth venue in London. Formerly known as the Royal Wardrobe, the historic building near St Paul’s Cathedral that once housed ceremonial robes has been reimagined as Native King’s Wardrobe. Expect 92 characterful apartments with one, two and three bedrooms, including with everything you need for work and play, plus Hypnos beds and Bramley toiletries. Downstairs, COUNTER serves drinks and light bites by day and transforms into a neighbourhood wine bar at night.

GuestHouse Brighton No.124 King’s Road – opening July 2024

Boutique hotel brand GuestHouse already have venues in York, Bath and Margate, but in 2024 they will open a seaside belle right on the Brighton seafront. No.124 King’s Road is the group’s biggest project to date. Expect 32 luxury rooms, half with jaw-dropping sea views over the West Pier, giving the illusion of floating on water. All guests get Pantry access, where you can help yourself to sweets and snacks throughout your stay. Plus there is a Pearly Cow restaurant with terrace bar, event spaces, and wellness concept, Field Trip offering signature GuestHouse treatments.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester – opening summer 2024

There is already a Treehouse hotel in London, but in 2024 a second Treehouse Hotel will open in Manchester city centre. With a roof garden, living green walls and a kitchen garden harvesting rainwater, as well as making their own honey, the hotel has a long list of sustainable credentials. But they haven’t forgotten how to have fun. Expect hopscotch carpets and space hoppers in the gym. As well as 224 rooms, the downstairs zero-waste restaurant will be run by Fat Duck alumni Mary-Ellen McTague. Upstairs on the 14th floor, you’ll find a panoramic rooftop bar and restaurant serving south-east Asian food.

The Newman, Fitzrovia, central London – opening winter 2024

The Newman, named after its central London location on Fitzrovia’s Newman Street, is the first hotel from British hospitality group, Kinsfolk & Co. Designed by Lind + Almond, the creative duo behind Copenhagen’s Hotel Sanders, it has 81 boutique rooms and suites like the one pictured above, plus a cocktail bar, European brasserie restaurant and wellness floor. A second hotel is earmarked to open in Westminster in 2026. Serviced apartments and neighbourhood restaurants are also part of Kinsfolk & Co’s future plans.

THE PIG-and The Village Pub, Cotswolds– opening 2024

Famous for their boutique chain of restaurants with rooms, it’s been a while since any new PIG hotels opened, but three are set to open in the next 18 months. First up is THE PIG-and The Village Pub in the Cotswolds on the site of the former Barnsley House, set to open this summer. This will be followed by THE PIG-on the farm in Stratford-upon-Avon at the end of the year and THE PIG-at Groomsbridge on the border of Kent and East Sussex in 2025. All PIG hotels have luxury rooms, spa treatments in The Potting Shed and amazing restaurants attached, but their Cotswolds outpost is their first with a village pub.

Wildes, Chester – opening 2024

Set within the historic rows of Chester city centre, Wildes is an exciting new hotel UK opening for 2024. The boutique hotel will boast a rooftop swimming pool, brasserie restaurant, bar and avant-garde spa. There is also a private dining room featuring two magnificent chandeliers. While the 18 sophisticated bedrooms have been carefully renovated to retain the Victorian buildings’ unique personality.

The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester – opening October 2024

The Reach is a 90-second walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, so couldn’t be any better placed for a weekend break in the city. Part of the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, a collection of independently-run hotels, it has 215 rooms, a restaurant serving locally sourced produce, stylish bar overlooking the canal and fully-equipped gym. It’s also within walking distance of main attractions such as Escape to Freight Island, the Northern Quarter and Gay Village.
