If you’re dreaming of being whisked away for a romantic getaway that involves lots of wine, you need to read this.
Drop your bags at the hotel, which is run by the same team behind celebrity haunt Chiltern Firehouse, and jump on a train to Ashford International in Kent.
Here you will be met your own private tour guide who will take you around the region’s vineyards.
The trip, aptly called The Grape Escape, includes a tutored wine tasting, where you can learn all about the wine-making process while sampling some local vino.
This is followed by a country pub lunch and a trip to two more vineyards, where you can taste more wine and gaze out at the beautiful Kent scenery.
But it doesn’t end there. After some downtime back at the hotel, there will be a table reserved for you at Allegra, The Stratford’s 7th floor rooftop restaurant, which has a heated terrace and stunning views across the capital.
Enjoy a three-course meal from the à la carte menu, serving up modern European organic dishes with an inventive twist.
Starters include treats such as Oysters, Mackerel Tartare and Confit Chicken Wings. While mains consist of dishes like Yorkshire Grouse, Cornish Plaice and Iron Age Pork Loin.
And for dessert choose from Plum & Ginger Mille-Feuille with Almond Ice Cream and Caramelised White Chocolate & Fig Leaf Ice Cream. Please note menus are subject to change.
After dinner, the night is yours. Have a drink in one of the hotel bars or take a nightcap back to your room.
Then stay the night in one of The Stratford’s plush New York-style rooms, which range from cosy standards, to the Manhattan Studio suite with panoramic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Round off your stay with breakfast the next morning in The Stratford Lounge.
The Grape Escape package starts from £698 per couple
